Anchor Quits for Hip-Hop Career

Brandon Bates was an Anchor/Reporter at WXII-TV in Winston-Salem.

Bates sent an email to FTVLive talking about his new career as a hip-hop artist.

Here is a portion of the email he sent to FTVLive:

First off, if he was really a big fan of FTVLive, he would know that my name is Scott and not Steve, but okay.

Bates says that he quit his job during the height of the pandemic to focus on his happiness and his music career.

Now he just released his album on all music platforms called, “Brandon Shaine In The Moment”

Bates errrrrrr Shaine says that he quit TV news and tells Steve AKA me, that, “As a father of two, he decided to set an example for his kids by chasing his dreams and following what makes him happiest.”
