Like it or Not, It's a Political Statement

Over at Meredith’s KTVK, Anchor Scott Pasmore went on air wearing a “Blue Lives Matter” tie.

While Passmore can support the police all he wants when you show that support on-air, you are entering a gray area.

What if his co-Anchor wore a “defund the police” dress, would that be OK with the bosses?

As a Journalist, it is your job to report the news and do it unbiasedly.

The next time Passmore is reporting on the story of a police officer that crossed the line, we know by his outfit where he stands.

If you want to wear the tie out to dinner, go ahead. But, you should and your bosses should not allow the Anchor to make a political statement on air.
