Jumping Off a Sinking Ship
/When Nexstar hired Rob Nelson as the “breaking news anchor” for the yet-to-launch News Nation, Nelson said at the time, “This is unlike anything I’ve ever done in 20 years of print and TV,” Nelson said. “This is an opportunity to build, shape, create and launch something and be there on the ground floor. … Everyone feels like the new kid in class, but the school is new, too.”
Well, it appears that News Nation never got off the ground floor and Nelson has left the ratings starved cable news network.
An internal email went out to the News Nation staff, telling them that the two sides “amicably split,”
His bio has been scrubbed from the NN website and Nelson is off looking to find his next gig.
Nelson becomes the latest to leave in a long line of people that have left the Nexstar outlet from the top down.
