I am aware of Sean Hannity pushing this.

While true from his mouth for a change... I am not fooled. You can argue he does not care about his viewers. He only cares about himself.

It was not long ago his words were linked to increased COVID deaths. I have not forgotten. He should have been fired. I think you talked about this during the pandemic too... Makes me wonder, why does he care now? I risk inflating his ego and popularity by talking about him.

"we find that areas with greater exposure to the show downplaying the threat of COVID-19 experienced a greater number of cases and deaths"

So he contributed to killing his viewers, and beyond.

Live from the parking lot.

Current tv news management thinking requires reporters to be live regardless if there is a reason to. Reporters don’t have a choice about that. Maybe that’s the real issue here. How is doing a live with the station logo in the background in the station parking lot any different or any more lazy than doing a live at the newsroom pod 20 feet from a reporter’s desk or by a big monitor in the studio 100 feet from their desk? My guess is because of the pandemic the reporter is not able to be inside the station. Sometimes logistically the field crew needs to be at the station. For instance, because of the pandemic; some public meetings, court proceedings, and events are done exclusively online. These recordings are made at the station and the only way to efficiently and timely access those are through the ethernet at the station. Because we are not allowed in the station, our engineers have setup ethernet in the parking lot to help with that. Occasionally because of the event timing, writing, editing, etc it is not possible to get to a better live location before the newscast starts.

Could it be lazy? Maybe. Should we reconsider being live for the sake of live? Probably. Is it the preferred place to do a live shot? No. I don’t think we can automatically call this lazy without some more information and context.

Just wanted to give you some thoughts about this. Thanks for what you do.

Poor deluded Kari Lake. She is clearly ignorant since she doesn't understand that platforms like Instagram have polices that she agreed to abide by when she signed on. Break those policies, you go to the corner for a time out. It can happen to anyone, including those extreme right-wing Trump Cult zombies.

I know she's going to whine about the 1st Amendment, which really doesn't apply here.

Good morning Scott,

Just did my favorite thing to do in the morning at work, namely peruse the best news blog in the world, and my heart broke at the news that Action News meteorologist Adam Joseph's children had caught COVID.

Adam is one of the most beloved personalities in the Delaware Valley and his being able to tell his story of how he came to live his truth and how he is raising his children is inspirational without it sliding into exploitive or "All About Me" territory.

He should NOT feel any sense of failure in regards to what happened with his children. He did everything right over the last few months to protect their health and home so it isn't his fault but honestly the unvaccinated visitor has a fair percentage of fault considering the person has had OVER A YEAR to get at least one shot of the vaccine. The fact that Adam felt that he needed to sound the clarion call that we still need to not let our guards down to live our lives in the COVID Age makes us realize that we are all human.
