Bad News for News Nation

Nexstar’s News Nation has been a ratings bust, but the network continues to search for something that viewers will watch.

NN recently rolled out two new shows. “Rush Hour with Nichole Berlie” and “On Balance with Leland Vittert.”

The hope from Nexstar was that at least one of these shows might attract some viewer interest.

Sadly, both shows started out with a whimper, showing double-digit declines compared to 2021 averages.

What has to be even more concerning to Nexstar, Vittert’s show pulled in just 1 thousand viewers in the demo which was a 90% drop from a year ago.

The good news for Nexstar? They have hit rock bottom with News Nation and it appears they can only go up from here.
