It looks like by the end of this month, Cox-owned KIRO in Seattle will have the following job openings.

These are new openings that go along with the current openings which insiders say the company has been very slow to fill.

Station sources say that KIRO currently only has one Reporter covering the nightside shift when the “normal” number is three.

While one Reporter might work in a market like Youngstown, you would expect more in a market the size of Seattle.

“We have an exodus of staffers and there's increasing anxiety/frustration that we're in market 12, yet we're staffed like a 60s market,” said one station staffer to FTVLive.

Since Cox has been taken over by the hedge fund Apollo, employees at the company have seen the purse strings tighten considerably.
