Ummmm....

We had thought that when KVOA (Tucson) exited Austin Walker from the station, we were done writing about him.

Walker didn’t make it a year at KVOA and many thought his TV reporting career maybe over as quickly as it started.

But, if this business you never say never and Walker landed at Scripps’ owned KXXV in Waco, Texas (where, apparently they are a little lazed in doing background checks).

Anyway, the station has now included Walker’s bio on its website and it includes a bit of misinformation:

It appears that KXXV got the information on Walker’s two Murrow’s from his Twitter header:

But here’s the thing….

The RTDNA is adamant in saying:

“Edward R. Murrow Awards are presented to news organizations, not individuals.”

So, how did Austin Walker win 2 awards that are not handed out to individuals?

If you can’t get the bio right, how are we supposed to trust him in delivering the news?

Just asking….
