Calling it a Career

WHAM (Rochester) News Director Matt Malyn has left the station and the TV business altogether.

Malyn says that after 45 years in the business, you can stick a fork in him, he’s done.

On a personal note, Matt and I worked together briefly and we had some of the best laughs I have had working in this business.

From going to the casino on our lunch break and losing too much money. To the time that we wanted to get a shake from a local Jack-in-the-Box restaurant on a hot summer day.

We pulled up to the drive-thru and were told there was no shakes because the shake machine was frozen. It is 117 degrees outside at the time.

I also will never forget playing golf with Matt and he hurt is back hitting a shot. The sad thing? He whiffed and never hit the golfball.

Enjoy retirement Matt!
