The Cox Hack

FTVLive was the FIRST to tell you that the Cox/Apollo stations were hacked in a ransomware attack last week and it has carried over to this week.

At top rated WHIO (Dayton) their morning newscast yesterday consisted mainly of just cut-ins at the top of the hour that were very weather heavy in their content.

The station did put on a Noon newscast, but it included packages that were replayed from Friday of last week.

Clearly, Cox is still be impacted by the ransomware attack and this should be a clear message to other stations to have a backup plan in the works.
