NBC's Big Diss to Women's Sports

The Women’s US Open Golf Championship was held this past weekend at Olympic Club in San Francisco.

The best women golfers in the world were playing and it was a hell of a good tournament.

But, those watching on NBC never got to see winner Yuka Saso finish off the tournament and tying the record for the youngest winner (19-years-old) to win the US Open.

NBC cut away from coverage before the tournament was over. They moved the coverage over to their Golf Channel, but those watching over the air, or do not have the Golf Channel as part of their cable package, never got to see the end of the tournament.

Some viewers voiced their displeasure with NBC on social media:

The first poster is right, there is no way NBC would have cut off the men’s US Open.

The fact that this is the biggest golf tournament in the world for female golfers and NBC dumped out, shows just how far women athletes still need to go.

And in 2021, that is really sad.

Shame on NBC.
