Later this month, we will be recognizing Juneteenth which is the oldest nationally celebrated commemoration of the ending of slavery in the United States.

This is a very important day in our nations history.

But, it appears that WDIV (Detroit) Meteorologist Brandon Roux thinks that the day that commemorates the end of slavery is the day Amazon offers up their Summer sale.

The fact that this guy has no clue that Amazon Prime Day is not Juneteenth is more than a bit head-shaking.

I would hope that station management explains this to him and an apology is issued.

If you ask us, this is unacceptable.
