I'm Not Sure That Is a Good Idea....

While it has rained so much here in Florida that I have started construction on an ark, in the Pacific Northwest they are dealing with heat like they never have before.

KNDU (Yakima) Reporter Jordan Tolbert showed viewers how to make a DIY swamp cooler to help stay cool.

In the video (you can watch it here) Tolbert puts 3 bags of ice in a cooler and then perches an electric box fan on top of the cooler.

While I’m no DIY expert (you should see my ark), I do know that ice melts and becomes water. I’m not sure places an electric fan on top of what will become water, is the safest idea.
