Shuffling Off in Buffalo

WGRZ (Buffalo) meteorologist Heather Waldman is leaving the Tegna station after 4 years.

She was hired at WGRZ back in January of 2017 and started of weekends and later moving to weekdays.

WGRZ News Director Athan Kompos wrote in an email to the staff about her departure, “All of us at WGRZ have been fortunate to work with Heather. She showed us a different way of looking at our unique weather and created a few series in ‘Heather’s Weather Whys’ and ‘Climate Minute’ that took Storm Team 2 beyond forecasting and into storytelling. She also reminded everyone that it is good to be a geek!”

Waldman has not yet tipped her hand as to where she is headed.
