FTVLive told you that WWJ (Detroit) Weather Anchor April Moss became the second on-air talent to lash out at her employer live on the air.

After talking about the Father’s Day forecast, Moss says that she will be sitting down with Project Veritas this week to discuss the “ discrimination that CBS is forcing on its employees.”

Moss becomes the second talent in a week to implode their TV career on live television.

Just a week before, KRIV (Houston) Reporter Ivory Hecker lashed out at her station and its owner Fox Television in a live report.

Hecker was fired and it is likely that Moss has been, or will be soon.

Moss sat down with Project Veritas founder James O'Keefe (picture) and it is likely that a video of the two will be released later today.

Clearly, there are problems in TV news and there are certainly stations or companies that are not doing it right and need to be called out.

But, is imploding your career the way to do it?

With Moss going off-script, it basically has placed Hecker past her 15 minutes of fame. Now, Hecker is unemployable to any legit news operation. Her unprofessional act is on the same level as a disgruntled McDonald’s employee pissing in the deep-fryer before walking out the door.

As for Moss, she goes down as a copycat to Hecker.

Moss’s bio is still up on the station’s website, but her Twitter seems to be gone.

Will others follow their lead?

Calling out your station or company, or becoming a whistleblower to what you see as discrimination, bias, or unsafe work conditions should be commended.

But, going off-script while live is nothing more than unprofessional, selfish, and basically career-killing.

You might want to think about that if you were getting any ideas.
