Intruder Captured at FTVLive
/Yesterday, an intruder was able to get past the security that FTVLive and it became a real problem.
I have a small pond in the backyard with a few fish in it and at some point, during the night something else entered the pond.
This is how my Monday is starting out.... https://t.co/fKl2rpofue

Yep, about a 4-foot alligator decided to take up residence in my pond and I have to figure out how to get the gator out of the pond? In all my years living here in Florida, this was the first time I saw a gator on my property.
I could have called the Florida Wildlife office, but after looking at their website, I read that if they came out a tapped the gator, they would end up killing it.
I didn’t like the fact that the gator should die just because he (or she) wandered into my yard.
I decided that I would do the job myself and it was off to Home Depot.
I bought a trap that is supposed to be used for small animals like armadillos or possums, but I thought it might work in this case.
I set the trap in the pond, tried to block the gator’s escape routes, and used a couple of sticks to guide him into the trap.
Unbelievably it worked.
Needless to say the gator was pissed, hissing and showing his teeth.
We took the gator to a nearby pond and then the hard part came. I had to open the door to the cage and hope that the very pissed of gator would head into the water and not turn and bite my hand or me.
People might not understand how fast a gator can be, but let me assure you, they are lightning quick.
It took some time, but the gator finally left the cage and went into the pond. He was alive and well and to me that is all that counted.
It ended up costing me the price of the cage and a new pair of underwear, but it was clearly worth it.
That was my Monday, hope yours was a little less eventful.
