Zucker Says Chris Cuomo Made a Mistake

In talking to people that work at CNN, many think that host Chris Cuomo should be fired or at least suspended for joining his brother, NY Gov. Andrew Cuomo’s team and be involved in “strategy sessions” to help the embattled governor.

Yesterday, CNN boss Jeff Zucker held a “town hall” with the CNN staff and basically gave Cuomo a free pass.

Zucker called Coumo’s line crossing actions a “mistake” and said that Cuomo’s relationship with Andrew is no secret to viewers.

On the other side of the political aisle, former Senator and CNN contributor Rick Santorum was let go by the network for his comments on Native Americans.

Zucker told the staff that Santorum is no longer paid by CNN and that his comments were “inappropriate and racist.”

No mistake there.

Zucker said, “no one cares more about the CNN brand than I do.”

Really now?
