AT&T to Spin Off Warner Media, Including CNN

Well that sure didn’t last long….

AT&T has decided to spin off Warner Media, which includes CNN to Discovery. AT&T fought hard to get the $80 billion dollar deal to be approved and spinning off Warner Media for almost $40 billion less than they paid for it.

Discovery CEO David Zaslav will oversee the merged company and according to what he had to say on CNN, he seems interested in keeping Jeff Zucker in charge of CNN.

I can only imagine what Shark Week will look like with Zucker’s CNN.
