No News in Richmond

It appears that Nexstar’s WRIC (Richmond) is having technical problems and the station has not been able to put on a newscast.

Word is that a computer part failed and the station is having a spare part flown in ASAP.

The missed newscasts yesterday and word is that they will not have a morning newscast today. The station hopes to have the problem fixed in time for the noon news.

Right now, the station is simulcasting WAVY (Norfolk) and running crawls to inform viewers of the problem.

In the days of smaller budgets and tightening the purse strings, you don’t see that much anymore.
