Back For the 2nd Dose

Later this morning, I will be headed to get my 2nd dose of the COVID vaccine.

I got my first dose in March and now 21 days later, it is time to get the 2nd shot of the Pfizer vaccine. I’m excited that after more than a year of dealing with the pandemic, we are seeing the light at the end of the tunnel.

Here in Florida, the vaccine is now available to anyone over the age of 18 and I urge all of you to get the shot when you are available to do so.

I had only slight side effects with the first shot. My arm was a little sore for a few hours. Some say that the side effects can be a bit worse on the 2nd dose, but those don’t last long.

I think dealing with feeling crappy for a few hours is a pretty good trade-off, knowing that you are vaccinated against the coronavirus.

While I should not be fully immune for a couple of weeks, I still plan on wearing a mask and practicing social distancing for much longer than that.

The way I see it, we have made it this far, I’m sure I can go a few more months following the CDC guidelines.

I look forward to being “Vaccinated AF” and hope you do the same.

Right now, let’s do some news….
