Vegas Anchor Returns to the Air

Popular KVVU (Las Vegas) morning Anchor Feven Kay had been missing from the station’s air for weeks and viewers had been wondering where she is?

Kay went silent on her Twitter account back in mid-March and many that watched the Meredith station continued to wonder what happened?

By mid-April she was still not on the air.

The station, nor Meredith made any public comment and then a few days ago Kay returned to the air.

So, where was she?

Word is that Kay was arrested for DUI.

At the end of the late newscast on Tuesday, the station ran a brief the "mea culpa" video from Kay about her arrest. The station tried to bury the message with the Anchor tossing to break, saying here is "a message from one of our own".

FTVLive could not find any mention of her arrest or her mea culpa on the station’s website.

Kay screwed up and she appears to be sorry for what happened.

But, the fact that Meredith or the station basically covered up the fact that their Anchor was arrested for nearly a month is inexcusable.

Would KVVU handle it the same way if the Mayor of Las Vegas was arrested?

You can’t say your station is about transparency, when you refuse to practice transparency, when it comes to your own.

It’s nice to see Kay back and it appears that for her it was a lesson learned. As for the Meredith station, it appears you still have some learning to do.
