Oscars Viewership Tanks

If you don’t think the television viewership landscape is changing, you're in denial.

Awards show have often been big ratings draws, but that’s no longer the case. The Oscars aired this past weekend and drew under 10 million viewers for the first time ever.

This follows the same path as many other awards shows.

To put that in perspective, 9.2 million people watched the Apple Spring event on YouTube and millions more have watched it on apple’s website.

Streaming is the future and all TV stations better figure that out before they become newspapers.
