Extended at Fox News

I don’t know about you, but I always think it’s a bit odd when a network sends out a press release about a talent extended their contract.

Yesterday, Fox News sent out a long release to tell us that Bret Baier has signed a multi-year deal to continue working at the network.

I’m not sure that information is for us, or Fox News sending a message to Newsmax and OANN that they can’t have their talent.

Other than that, does anyone really care? I mean, I’m sure Bret Baier is thrilled but other than him.

“I am thrilled to continue working with FOX News Channel for the next five years. It has been my home away from home for almost a quarter century. Suzanne Scott, Jay Wallace, and the Murdoch’s have been terrific leaders and bosses. I look forward to working closely with my incredibly talented team to cover the Important stories of our time in the fair and honest way our viewers expect,” Baier is reported as saying in the release from Fox News.

When he says “ fair and honest way” in his quote, surely he is not talking about Tucker Carlson, Sean Hannity, Steve Doocy, the guy that sits across from Steve Doocy, and a number of others at Fox. Right?
