Is That Really Exposing Them?

The right-wing conspiracy group Project Veritas is claiming that they have exposed CNN in another one of their undercover videos.

Project Veritas tricked a CNN Technical Director into thinking he was on a Tinder date, when in fact the date was a plant Project Veritas and caught the CNN employee on hidden camera.

The Technical Director claimed that CNN objective was to get Trump out of office.

While the conservatives are claiming this “gotcha” video proves everything, we’re here scratching our heads.

First off, anyone that watched CNN over the past 4 years, knew without a doubt that the network was anti-Trump. Of course, this was after they promoted Trump and did about all they could to get the guy elected.

MSNBC was also going against the Trump tide. It was not like this is anything new in the least.

I don’t need a fake Tinder account and a fake date to also tell you that Fox News is very much pro-Trump and they did all they could to try and get him re-elected. Same thing with NewsMax or OANN.

So, while Project Veritas is claiming that they have “exposed CNN” they did not. They confirmed what anyone that watched more than 10 minutes of the Jeff Zucker network already knew. It was nothing close to “exposing them.”

Secondly, this is a Technical Director, which is not an editorial position at the network. If the TD at your station was out making claims about your station’s news coverage, would you consider them a well informed source on the issue?

Exactly.

Problem is, people not working in TV news hear the term “Technical Director” and they think it sounds like someone really high up the food chain, when in fact they are not.

The only thing this latest Project Veritas project did was expose them as a group of clowns.

Then again, we already knew that as well.
