This is CNN....
/First off, before I get to the CNN story, a big congrats to Japan’s Hideki Matsuyama for winning the Masters. He becomes the first male golfer from Japan to ever win a major championship and that made for a lot of pressure on Matsuyama as he played his final round on Sunday.
A life-changing win for him and a huge win for the country of Japan.
Now to the story.
As the Masters was being played, golfers were seeing just how hard the greens were at Augusta National and that frustrated my of the players.
South Korea’s Si Woo Kim showed his frustration when he broke his putter on the 15th hole.
When CNN did a story about that incident, they posted this:
First off, the club used in that picture is a Driver and not a putter. You would think that if you are doing a story about a player breaking his putter, you could at least find a picture of him putting.
But, more importantly, the golfer shown is Sungjae Im and not Si Woo Kim. Yes, both are Korean, and both are great golfers, but that’s where the similarities end.
If Fox News made this mistake, many would be yelling “racism” and CNN’s media critic would highlight the error in his nightly newsletter.
But, since it was CNN’s mistake, Stelter never even mentioned it.
