Crossing the Street in Denver

Meteorologist Kylie Bearse joined Tegna’s KUSA (Denver) back in April of 2018, but in April of 2021, she will be seen by viewers at a different Denver station.

FTVLive obtained an internal email sent to the staff at Nexstar’s KDVR/KWGN informing them that the station has hired Bearse and that she is starting at the end of the month.

The station also hired a new Traffic Anchor for the morning show, but KDVR/KWGN News Director Brian Gregory just glosses over that in the email.

Please welcome Kylie Bearse to the FOX31 Morning News team.  Kylie comes to us from the NBC station in town.  Before that she was at the CBS O&O in Minneapolis where she was a weather anchor/meteorologist and host of WCCO MidMorning.  She also had stops in Salt Lake City and Idaho Falls.

 Kylie comes highly recommended by former colleagues across town and in other stations where she worked.  We were really impressed with Kylie’s personable approach to weather, while still staying focused on explaining/forecasting the big (and small) changes in Colorado weather that can have impact on our lives and routines every day.  Kylie is creative at building her weather shows, and always looking for new ways to tell the weather story.  She’s also a creative storyteller and a great all-around person.  She should fit in nicely with Meagan O’Halloran, Kirk Yuhnke, and Emily Allen.  And with Dave Fraser, Jessica Lebel, Chris Tomer, Matt Makens, and Carly Cassady on the Pinpoint Weather Team.

 Kylie starts here on Monday April 26th, and we hope she will be on air with our morning team by the following Monday. 

 Also on Monday April 26th, Emily Allen joins the morning team as traffic/news content reporter in station.  She will be reporting on traffic and other content as well.  So our new FOX31 Morning Team of Meagan, Kirk, Kylie and Emily should all be together on May 3rd.
