That's Not Correct
/Remember Shepard Smith?
He was the Fox News Anchor who abruptly quit the network after not being able to take it anymore.
You may or may not know that Smith now works over at CNBC. His show is struggling in the ratings and the spotlight is much dimmer now, but you still should get the facts right.
While talking about mass-shootings across the country, Smith’s show put up this graphic on the screen:
His show listed one of the shooting locations as Santa Fe, New Mexico.
It wasn’t even the right state.
That mass-shooting happened at Santa Fe High School in Santa Fe, TEXAS.
Smith’s Executive Producer is longtime Houston News Director Sally Ramirez, who was working in the Houston market when it happened. She covered the story, so clearly she knew where the incident happened.
Also, while Smith was talking about the latest mass shooting, he was doing his signature pauses for effect. But, while he was doing that, you could hear someone’s cellphone ringing in the studio.
Might be time for CNBC to tighten Smith’s show up a bit. You know, in case people actually start watching it.
