On the Mend in LA

A couple of days ago, FTVLive told you that KTTV Reporter Hal Eisner and Photographer Joab Perez were two of the six people that were injured as a suspected drunk driver ran into them while they were working on a story.

The news team was working on a story about the reopening on a movie theater on West Hollywood Boulevard as Los Angeles County lifted some COVID restrictions.

The driver that ran into the pedestrians was placed under arrest under the suspicion of Driving Under the Influence. The suspect told police he fell asleep at the wheel before he was taken to the hospital in LAPD custody.

Over the weekend, Eisner got on social media from his hospital room to update viewers and thank them for their support.
