Old News in Atlanta

On Sunday night in the Atlanta market, Cox-owned WSB started airing the weekend edition of ABC’s World News Tonight, but it was old news.

And when I say “old” I’m not talking about a pre-recorded broadcast from a couple of hours ago, this the World News Tonight from last week.

Viewers figured that out when the ABC newscast talked about Spring being just days away and early St. Patrick’s Day celebrations.

The station aired the week-old newscast for about 15 minutes before correcting the problem.

What was even worse for viewers, NBC’s network newscast was shortened due to overrunning golf coverage and CBS did not have a network newscast due to NCAA basketball.

Of course, the viewers in Atlanta could have turned on a cable news station to get their news.

I’m kidding, cable news channels don’t do news. They just give you their opinion about how you should think.
