Man Arrested after Incident with MMJ

An MMJ with WBOY (Clarksburg, West Virginia) was doing a Facebook Live at West Virginia University as a number of students gathered for St. Patrick’s Day parties at campus frat houses.

As the MMJ was going live (watch the video here) a man come up and appeared to push the MMJ and disrupt his live shot.

Campus police later arrested the man named Aiden Lillis.

The police issued this statement:

Lillis is charged with battery in connection to an incident with a member of the media which occurred on St. Patrick’s Day at a large gathering outside a disassociated fraternity house on North High Street in Morgantown. A tip from the media and information from the public after UPD shared photos on social media helped lead to his arrest.

Investigations are ongoing regarding large gatherings and potential violations of health and safety guidelines related to the pandemic.
