Laid Off Reporter is Still with the Team

Amy Gutierrez was one of those laid off by NBC Sports as part of the pandemic cuts made by NBC.

Gutierrez was often seen as the in game Reporter at San Francisco Giants games for NBC Sports Bay Area.

Yesterday, the Giants announced that while Gutierrez will no longer be on NBC Sports, she will still be part of the Giants team.

Gutierrez is joining the organization as a social media contributor and producer of digital content.

“The old adage is true, when one door closes, another one opens,” she wrote on her Instagram page.

In addition to her new digital duties with the Giants, Gutierrez will serve as a team ambassador at community events.

She was with the sports network for 17 years.
