Money Well Spent?

Despite the fact that Meredith cut employee’s pay last year and the fact that laid off nearly 200 people, the company decided to put together a promo to run during the Super Bowl on CBS Meredith stations.

Insiders say that Meredith spent thousands of dollars on custom music from Warner Chappell Music.

For a company that asked staffers to give up part of their paycheck and then still laid off people, was this money well spent?

One General Manager told a staff member, it looked like all the talent in the promo was depressed.
