On Friday, Nexstar sources tell FTVLive that the company’s regional VP’s held meetings with all the stations to lay down the law when it comes to swearing.

It seems that Nexstar CEO Perry Sook wants to end the four-letter words that are often heard floating around the newsroom.

“There is a zero-tolerance policy against swearing,” said one Nexstar employee to FTVLive.

It seems to stem from an incident involving WJZY (Charlotte) Anchor Morgan Norwood.

Norwood joined the station just a few months ago and she dropped the F-Bomb on air. Insiders tell FTVLive that Norwood was let go from the station after the incident.

Norwood might have made it only 3 months at the Nexstar station, but the new Norwood Policy will be impacting employees of the company from now on.

The new policy is barring swearing at the Nexstar stations.

I don’t think it is a bad policy, but I’m sure glad I don’t work for Nexstar, I’m not sure I would be able to adhere to it.

Just saying….

Here is the incident that happened on air.
