KOMO (Seattle) News Director Bill Dallman is leaving the Sinclair station and headed home to the Twin Cities.

Dallman will be the new General Manager at KARE.

“I’m thrilled to join a station with such history and tradition of serving the community, producing quality journalism, and providing value to our customers and partners,” Dallman said.

He doesn’t start the new gig until June (which trust us, is when you want to be moving to Minneapolis) and WFAA’s (Dallas) GM Carolyn Mungo will be babysitting KARE until Dallman arrives.

Dallman was the News Director at Fox O&O KMSP for years, before moving to Fox Sports. He was also the News Director at KCBS before heading to Seattle.

Dallman was previously named one of the best people in TV news by FTVLive and we can assure you, he will not be hiring any comics to anchor the news at the Tegna station.
