Last week, FTVLive told you how WSYX (Columbus) Chief Meteorologist Marshall McPeek was going to start blocking people on his Facebook page that talked about politics.

In that story, we licked the idea and we wrote:

“I’m going to take some action on my own personal Facebook Page. Right now I have 1,618 friends on my personal Facebook page. Today is February 12th, 2021. I also have a few hundred friend requests pending, which I will not accept.
From this point on, when I log onto Facebook (which is not very often) I will unfriend anyone that makes a political post, no matter which side they are on.”

Well, I just checked and after logging on a few times to Facebook over the past few days, I have unfriended a number of people that were talking politics.

I started at 1,618 friends and now I’m down to 1,594.

If you one of those that I unfriended, I want you to know that it’s nothing personal, I’m just sick of politics on both sides of the aisle.

I will continue this until the end of the year and we’ll see how many friends I have left?

At this rate, I’m thinking maybe 100.
