Back it Down There Junior...

New Syracuse grad Ricky Sayer just got his first real-world MMJ job, but based on the 2 and a half minute job announcement video he posted on social media you’d think he won an Oscar.

“I’d be lying to you if I said I expected to be moving to this big of a city out of college,” said Sayer.

Dude, you’re going to Lexington, not Manhattan.

Sayer says that he is signing off from the student-run TV station, “leaving is hard, but I know it’s time,” Sayer said.

Ummmm…. you mean because you graduated just like everyone else???

And in case the 2:30 second video wasn’t enough, he replied to his own tweet 5 times with additional goodbye messages.

Here’s his announcement of his new job:

And here is his 2 minute plus on air goodbye from the student run station at Syracuse.

Does every Cuse student broadcaster get to do 2+ min goodbyes every semester? The newscast must go on for hours.

I don’t know, but maybe someone at Syracuse can start teaching about being a bit more humble when you land your first job in TV news.

Good luck to Ricky Sayer as he starts his career, but let me give you some advice.

This business already has enough Austin Walkers’.

Back it down a bit dude, you don’t know everything and you are about to learn that lesson.

Stay humble Ricky.
