Thankfully, It is Now Gone...
/A SoCal stringer shot video of the accident and uploaded it to YouTube. It video includes the uncovered dead body of the Photographer’s dad.
Sources tell FTVLive that the station asked the stringer to remove or edit the video and that the stringer refused to do so.
Last week, FTVLive urged the SoCal stations to boycott using this stringer’s video until or if he deleted the video.
We are happy to report, the video has been deleted from YouTube.
“You succeeded where the family of the deceased had failed,” one emailer said to FTVLive about the video being pulled from YouTube.
Sometimes you have to use the big hammer to get the job done.
To other stringers that think is cool to post “snuff” video on YouTube, please know that person laying there is someone’s family. Do your job, but show respect.
If you don’t, we won’t think twice about calling you out.
Thanks to the SoCal stations for coming together and helping a family that lost a loved one, have just a little be more peace knowing that the video isn’t on the internet.
