Nexstar Hits Revenue Record

As contracts come up for Nexstar employees, many are being offered a raise of just 1 or 1 1/2 percent, maybe 2% if you’re lucky.

That is not even keeping up with inflation.

While that is happening, Nexstar as a company just reported a record 3rd quarter, bringing in $1.15 billion in just the 3rd quarter alone.

“Nexstar’s strong third quarter financial results once again exceeded consensus expectations and highlight growing momentum across our broadcast, digital and networks platforms. With pandemic-related challenges largely behind us, we are beginning to actualize the value of the scaled platform we have created,” Uncle Perry said about the record earnings.

One Nexstar employee said to FTVLive, “…most stations are understaffed, missing at least one or two people in every department. Nearly a dozen people have walked out the door this calendar year at our small-mid market station. I hope that corporate doesn't think that understaffed stations are a recipe for record revenue. The camel's back is going to break at some point.”
