It seems that the Tallahassee Police Department no longer wants the media calling dispatch, or anyone else in the department to ask about an incident.

The Department sent a memo to the media telling them that effective immediately the press should only call the P-I-O and they will get back to you in an hour or less.

Huh?

If the P-I-O does not answer, the media is told NOT to call anyone else at the department and to just stand by.

Here is the memo that was sent to the press, followed up by an internal email sent out to the staff at WCTV by News Director Sabrina Fuller.

Fuller advises the staff to continue to do what they did in the past and ignore the memo from the cop shop.
