ABC Says They FIRED Micheal Corn
/Back on April 16th, FTVLive posted this:
“The executive shake-ups at the networks continue over at ABC’s Good Morning America where Senior Executive Producer Michael Corn was suddenly gone from the network.
Word is that Corn was on the job yesterday morning and it appeared to be business as usual. Then by yesterday afternoon, he was gone from the network and ABC is not saying much.”
Some say that Corn tried to pass off his leaving as his choice, but now ABC is trying to clear up that issue.
According to the Wall Street Journal, in a legal filing, ABC says that it fired the “Good Morning America” Executive Producer in April, after investigating allegations that he sexually harassed and assaulted two network staffers.
“The investigation determined that it was more likely than not that Corn violated ABC’s policies. ABC then promptly terminated Corn’s employment after 17 years of service,” ABC said in a motion to dismiss several claims in a lawsuit against the network filed by Kirstyn Crawford, a producer on “Good Morning America.”
After leaving ABC News, Corn landed at Nexstar’s News Nation and is heading up the cable network. Nexstar has not commented publicly on the lawsuit against Corn.
“Newstar continues to ignore this despite the multiple concerns coming from employees,” said one News Nation staffer to FTVLive.
