Helping Out a Hero
/Yesterday, FTVLive told you about a stray kitten that was hiding under a car in the KSLA (Shreveport) parking lot.
People were able to rescue the little kitten and Digital Content Executive Producer Rachel Thomas has adopted the kitten as her own.
She sent along a few pictures of the little kitty in her new home.
FTVLive has sent along a $100 gift card to Petco to help Rachel and her new best friend.
In the story, I posted that I wanted to know who the pet hero was so I could send a gift card. Rachel reached out to say it was her. A Chicago Anchor also reached out to say that he wanted to help out with the gift card as well.
I told the Anchor that I was sending Rachel $50 and asked if he wanted to tack on another $10? He said sure and then sent me a Venmo, matching the $50 I was putting in.
How cool is that?!
The Anchor didn’t want recognition, just wanted to help out.
So, in that case will not tell you that the Chicago Anchor that chipped in is WFLD’s Jake Hamilton.
Bottom line, we were able to send $100 to help this little kitten and her new mom out.
And to think, some people think FTVLive only covers bad stories.
