Washington Post Piece Calls For Cable Companies to Drop Fox News
/An opinion piece in the Washington Post is calling for cable companies to drop Fox News from their systems in the same way that Twitter purged Donald Trump.
The effort to ditch Fox News is being pushed hard by CNN’s Oliver Darcy, the minion of media critic Brian Stelter.
Darcy thinks that Fox News needs to be pulled from cable, due to the fact that they think differently than he does.
The fact that someone that works at a “news organization” is calling for the cable to silence another news organization is head-scratching, to say the least.
Do I believe that there are people at Fox News that should be off the air and without a job in TV? Of course.
There are a number of people at Fox News that spread lies, hate, and misinformation, I’m looking at you Sean, Lou, and Maria.
But, do I think cable should ditch Fox News? Absolutely not.
Fox News does have a news division and they do news. That is important for viewers. People like Chris Wallace has been praised for his reporting. Should Chris Wallace’s network be silenced because Oliver Darcy or the Washington Post don’t like him?
CNN wants Fox News gone because Fox News is their competition.
The fact that a CNN staffer is leading the effort for cable companies to pull the plug on Fox News is something that should concern us all.
If you don’t like Fox News, don’t watch it.
Asking them to be silenced, because you don’t like them, sounds more like something you would hear out of North Korea, not the United States.
