Tegna to Abandon Fort Smith

For as long as anyone can remember, KFSM was the TV station that many in Ft. Smith tuned to get their news.

The station was owned for years by Tribune and has now been taken over by Tegna and it looks like Tegna is going to give up on Ft. Smith.

The KFSM studios have been put up for sale for the asking price of $1.1 million bucks. KFSM is moving its operation an hour outside of Ft. Smith up to Fayetteville.

Ft. Smith Viewers have contacted the station to voice their displeasure with the move, but it appears that Tegna is abandoning ship in Fort Smith, Arkansas.
