The Inbox....

A few days ago, FTVLive posted a story on WTXF Fox Philly Anchor Bob Kelly and how he showed in a single tweet just how big his ego is and his lack of empathy.

Kelly took to social media to whine that he can’t tailgate at the Philadelphia Eagles game, but yet homeless people are allowed to gather “live” in tents along the Parkway.

An FTVLive reader wanted to weigh in on that story.

Hey Scott, hope all is well with you in the Florida COVID hotbed.

I wanted to say THANK YOU for calling out FOX 29's Traffic Anchor Bob Kelly on his complete HUA (Head Up A**) Tweet trying to compare the creating of a No Tailgating zone at Lincoln Financial Field last week for the Eagles game to the homeless encampments in the city.

I work at the stadium and I understand how much being a fan is an amazing experience from seeing it first-hand. However, there is a MASSIVE differential between Eagles fans tailgating and homeless people protesting. Oh and let's not forget THERE'S A FREAKING PANDEMIC going on that has already taken 200,000+ lives so what's another 70,000 to this entitled JERK???

This guy was so beloved in this town when he worked at KYW and people were incensed when they let him go when he refused to take a pay cut years ago, then he resurfaced at FOX 29. Yet here we are and we see his true colors come to the fore. Seems the only "Jammo" he needs to clear is his head from his butt crack.

Seems appropriate that FOX 29 News uses the slogan "We Go There" but this was somewhere he SHOULDN'T have.

Another emailed to say how much she likes the Jonesing For News podcast. By the way, not sure where this got linked, but last night, the latest episode of the podcast was listened to thousands of times since yesterday evening. Not sure what happened, but thanks to all of you that tuned in.

Scott,

I found your Jonesing For News podcast a couple of weeks ago and I LOVE it! Your insight into the business is enlightening and you always leave me wanting more. I hope you can increase the podcast to more than just once a week.

You really come off as very sincere.

Well, you know what they say, to be successful in TV news, you have to be sincere. And if you can fake sincerity, you got it made.
