Well Now....Look at That!
/Yesterday, FTVLive told you how Sinclair’s WZTV did a story about how Nashville Mayor John Cooper and city officials attempted to keep secret the number of coronavirus infections linked to bars because it is "so low."
The story went viral and was picked up by the likes of Tucker Carlson at Fox News and Donald Trump Jr.
The only problem was that the story was not true and WZTV deleted the story off their website and issued an on-air retraction.
Yesterday morning, FTVLive wrote:
In other words, the station posted a story that would make Trump look good, it went viral and then after getting all kinds of play, the Sinclair station quietly says whoops and retracts the story.
Which is more than we have seen from Trump Jr. or Tucker Carlson.
After posting our story, Tucker Carlson went on the air and kind of sort of issued his own retraction which was really not a retraction.
Tucker Carlson is that guy we all know that can never own up to being wrong….
Take a look:
Over at Fox and Friends, Steve Doocy also addressed the bogus story and threw the Sinclair station under the bus:
Here's Steve Doocy spending 30 seconds admitting the story they ran last week about a Nashville coronavirus "cover-up" was totally wrong. Fox had used it to demand the mayor's resignation and speculate that similar "cover-ups" are happening everywhere. https://t.co/sH2n25vabz pic.twitter.com/7iTbG2xl4C
