The Man That Helped Make Donald Trump President

While Sean Hannity, Tucker Carlson and the guy that sits across from Steve Doocy have their lips firmly planted on the ass of Donald Trump, they aren’t the ones that put him in the White House.

One of the main reasons that Trump is residing at 1600 Pennsylvania Ave is thanks not to the people at Fox News, but CNN’s president, Jeff Zucker.

The New York Times is out with an interesting story about how Zucker helped create Donald Trump.

NYT’s Ben Smith writes that Tucker Carlson of Fox News recently gleefully aired recordings of conversations with Mr. Zucker that Mr. Trump’s fixer, Michael Cohen, had deviously taped in March 2016.

Zucker is heard speaking in flattering and friendly terms about Mr. Trump, or, as he called him, “the boss.” “You guys have had great instincts, great guts and great understanding of everything,” Zucker says to Mr. Cohen of Mr. Trump’s campaign.

And Zucker shows an eager interest in Mr. Trump’s television stardom. “I have all these proposals for him,” Zucker says beseechingly at one point. “Like, I want to do a weekly show with him and all this stuff.”

You may have missed the recordings — CNN didn’t cover them, nor did The New York Times — but if you can filter out Carlson’s spin and Fox’s campaign against CNN, they’re still revealing.

Back in 2016, FTVLive told you how Zucker’s CNN gave Trump wall to wall coverage of every one of his rally. It was about informing the public, it was about entertaining them.

At one point, CNN media critic and now Trump basher Brian Stelter gushed like a schoolgirl that Trump once used his phone to check primary results.

CNN is as much responsible for putting Trump in the White House as anyone.

But once Trump turned on CNN, CNN turned on Trump, and it was then that CNN became the 24-hour Trump-bashing network, led by that same critic that gushed about The Donald using his phone.

Even now, CNN can’t stop showing Trump and is falling into the same trap as they did in 2016. They continue to give President Trump millions in free air time.

But, if Trump gets re-elected this time, it will likely be because Fox News and their Trump cheerleading squad that will be the ones to keep him in the White House for 4 more years.

In other words, Jeff Zucker created the monster and now Fox News is feeding it.

If we really want to “make America great again,” I would think getting rid of cable news would be a great start.

I have said it before and I stand by it, no one has done more to divide this country than the cable news stations.

As for getting Trump in the White House, Jeff Zucker says, “I have no regrets about the part that I played in his career.”

I think more than half of Americans do have regrets with his role and the fact that he was making fawning calls to the Trump campaign at the same time CNN was covering it is disgusting.

The fact that CNN’s media critic hasn’t covered any of this is par for the course.
