Sinclair Station Retracts Story
/Sinclair’s WZTV did a story about how Nashville Mayor John Cooper and city officials attempted to keep secret the number of coronavirus infections linked to bars because it is "so low."
The story by the Sinclair station become huge in the right-wing stratosphere. Donald Trump Jr and Tucker Carlson helped the story go viral.
There was just one small problem.
The story wasn’t true.
The Sinclair station issued this on-air retraction which is not getting nearly the traction that their original story did.
In other words, the station posted a story that would make Trump look good, it went viral and then after getting all kinds of play, the Sinclair station quietly says whoops and retracts the story.
Which is more than we have seen from Trump Jr. or Tucker Carlson.
All in a day’s work for carrying the administration’s water.
BREAKING: @FOXNashville retracts report accusing @JohnCooper4Nash of a cover-up in reporting #COVID19 numbers for Nashville bars. "We don't have evidence of a cover-up and apologize for the error."
