Emelia Cowans-Taylor started working at WRAL (Raleigh) back in 2002 as a Producer at the station.

She later hosted the lottery drawing on WRAL, but she claims she was recently fired.

Cowans-Taylor went on Facebook live and said that WRAL fired her for testing positive for the coronavirus and being a Black woman.

Cowans-Taylor said, “It’s up to the community to hold institutions accountable,” she said in the Facebook live.
