Memo: Stop Wearing Masks

When it comes to coronavirus, Florida has been hit as hard as any other state and South Florida has been hit particularly hard.

So, some at Miami’s WSVN were a bit surprised when they got this email from News Director Tom Gonzalez-Diego.

First off, the rona is an airborne virus and someone does not have to be around you for you still to come in contact with it.

Second, I think having the people on the news practicing the CDC guidelines for viewers to see, shows that the station is being responsible.

Florida has been hard hit, having your staff set an example is a good lane to stay in.

I know Tommy and have worked with him in the past. I like the guy, but I have to say on this one, I think his direction is wrong.

Some of the staff think so as well.
