In a Patron Only story FTVLive posted back in August, we tipped that following in the wake of Allison Seymour leaving (or being pushed out) at Fox O&O WTTG, that another Anchor would be leaving the troubled station.

In our Patron story on August 26th, FTVLive wrote that “one of the station's top Anchors might be headed to the exit.”

Last night that shoe dropped.

As we knew was going to happen, longtime Anchor Shawn Yancey signed off from the station last night, 19 years after she started at The Firm’s station.

Yancey becomes the second highly ranked Black female Anchor to the leave the station in as many months.

Needless to say, viewers have noticed:

As we said in our Patron story, Yancey has been hinting on her private social media for weeks that she was leaving the station. She never said it outright, but it was not too difficult to read between the lines.

In her goodbye, Yancey again felt the need to claim that this was her decision to leave. Seymour did the same.

No word if Yancey will be bound by an NDA like the station did with Seymour.
