Resurfacing in the Burgh

Back in December of 2018, FTVLive FIRST told you that just before Christmas CBS O&O KDKA (Pittsburgh) sacked their longtime Weather Anchor Jeff Verszyla.

Verszyla had been with the station for over 2 decades.

Well, he is now resurfacing across the street.

Hearst owned WTAE announced that starting next months, Verszyla is joining the station full-time. He had been filing in at the station.

“Born and raised here, I truly understand the WTAE Channel 4 legacy in Pittsburgh weather and I’m very proud to be a part of it moving forward,” Verszyla said. “To say I’m excited would be an understatement! I have the opportunity to do what I love, for the city I love, with a very talented team of professionals…it’s a blessing and I’m humbled.”
